Aprille Soons Palmer, Colchester High School student, is a dedicated and talented art student who is motivated to go beyond the expectations of any assignment. She is often seen carrying her sketchbook through the halls of CHS, working through lunch in the art rooms, or visiting Church Street galleries to gather ideas. Aprille has developed a comprehensive portfolio and produced series of works in her unique style and palette. Her work has been exhibited in the Congressional Art Competition, Youth Art Month, the Recycled Art Showcase at Frog Hollow, the Champlain Mill Show, and CHS Art Shows. Aprille plans to attend Smith College and major in Art.

Dan Tice, senior at North Country Union High School, has had the distinguishing experience of being the sole male dancer in the school's student dance company for the past four years. A lead performer in this auditioned group, Dan has been featured in ballet, modern, and jazz works that have been shown at the State Teacher's Convention, at the Vermont Alliance of Arts Educator's Spring Conference, and in schools across Vermont. The company recently returned from its second trip to New York City, where students took classes and were adjudicated at the STEPS on Broadway studio.

A performer on the local scene since childhood, Dan has played lead roles in musicals produced by Vermont Family Theatre, QNEK Productions, and Derby Stock II. He has shared his talents at area variety shows, local fairs, parades, nursing homes, and hospitals.

Dan spent two summers in New York City at Camp Broadway, which is supervised by theater professionals from the CAP21 conservatory program at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. Dan recently auditioned for and was accepted into the American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA) in New York City, where he will continue his training in the fall.
