Stephanie Arsenault- North Country Union H.S.
Stephanie has been involved in the dance program at North Country Union high school since her first day of school as a freshman, taking Dance I and II, focusing on dance history and composition. She auditioned and was accepted to the Dance Company, an after school group and has been an outstanding participant ever since. The company has traveled and performed around the state including a presentation for the Teachers’ Convention in Burlington last year. She has participated in Master Classes with Daniel Catanach, Karen More and Roberta Mathes, and recently traveled with the Company to New York City, where she took ballet, modern and jazz classes at STEPS on Broadway. As a member of the North Country Band, Stephanie is the clarinet section leader and has played in the District Music festival for three years, and the Plymouth State College All-New England Festival for two years. Stephanie, a leader in our performing arts department, says she has learned a lot about herself participating in dance and music,
and will continue to create and perform.

Gideon Crevoshay- North County Union High School
A talented singer, dancer and pianist, Gideon Crevoshay has participated in an astounding number of performing arts activities, at North Country Union High School and beyond the school’s walls. Gideon has sung in school chorus, select choir, and All-State Chorus, as well as in Men’s Ensemble, District Music Festival, and the school’s annual Variety Show. In February, 2000, he traveled to Baltimore, Md. to sing in the American Choral Directors Association high school honors choir. Gideon has toured with Larry Gordon’s  Northern Harmony, and Village Harmony, and will travel to Europe again with them next year. He participated in the Lotus World Music Festival in Bloomington, Ind. this fall, and sings in a local chamber choir, Northsong. In addition to singing, Gideon studies piano, and is a member of the North Country Jazz Ensemble. At the IAJE jazz fest, he was honored as “IAJE Outstanding  Musician.” He also plays with a local jazz combo when time allows. Gideon has also taken advantage of North Country’s fine dance program, studying dance and performing. He is also an exceptional student and citizen of the school – truly a remarkable young man.

Vocalist, Heather Davis, began singing when she was a small child. Her first memories of singing was in her father’s office singing the “ABC’s” and Tomorrow” from Annie. She is currently a senior at Poultney High School where she participates in the school choir, plays the flute and trombone in the concert, marching, and jazz band. She performs at various community functions, plays the violin in the Lakes Region Youth Orchestra, and enjoys teaching violin.  Heather has been selected to participate three times at the All-New England Music Festival at MIT, four times at the All–State Music Festival, and five times at the Green Mountain Music Festival. As a junior, Heather tied for the All-State Vocal Scholarship. This year, the All-State Music Festival Vocal Scholarship will again go to Heather. She performed at the VAAE Annual Supervisory Union/District Arts Education Awards . This talented young lady’s future plans include studying vocal performance at The Eastman School.
